Digital Doubles

These shots were taken on a digital camera, using the in-camera multiple exposure facility to create dream-like, painterly images. Sometimes this results in harmonious themes; but sometimes I simply wanted to create jarring juxtapositions. I played with textures and scale to create abstract end images.

I find that digital cameras give far greater control over the process than doing similar work in film. The immediacy and flexibility of composing interactively has many benefits. Challenges still remain, even in the digital world: subject selection & alignment, tonal overlays and managing correct balanced exposure across the frames.
